This article will provide a walkthrough of what the Number Health status pertains to and how you may utilize this indicator to better understand the state of your market numbers.

The Health Status of a number is updated at the end of every day and is directly related to its Delivery Rate performance. The more you utilize the number to send SMS batches, the more up-to-date the number health will be. If you encounter any changes in your number health status to 'Moderate' or 'Poor', it's advised that you review our Messaging Best Practices & Delivery Rates and update your current processes with the guidelines.

 Unknown:
this status will appear whenever new numbers have been added to an account. It indicates that the number has not been utilized enough to have a status assigned to it (this may take a few batches to generate an update).

Good: indicates that your number and delivery rates are in good standing. You would not have to review or change anything in regard to your SMS processes if your numbers are reflecting this status.

Moderate: indicates that your number and delivery rates are experiencing a minor impact on performance. It's recommended that your current SMS processes be reviewed and updated in accordance with recommended sending practices to prevent further number health decline.

Poor: indicates that your delivery rates are experiencing considerable drops in performance. It's recommended that your current SMS processes be reviewed and updated in accordance with recommended sending practices. At this stage, the affected number should be deactivated or released.

Lead Sherpa Tip: If you're concerned about your Delivery Rate performance while waiting for the Number Health status to update, you can periodically review your campaign's batch performance by accessing the campaigns Metrics -> Batch Stats.
